Master Trim, Balance & Efficiency | Streamlined Twin-Tank Diving
Positioning cylinders on your sides instead of your back fundamentally changes how you float and move underwater. Sidemount offers unmatched balance, streamlined hydrodynamics, back strain relief, and redundant gas delivery. This course goes far beyond basic assembly. Incorporating technical-level equipment setup, you will learn the physics of sidemount trim, how cylinder buoyancy shifts as gas is consumed, long-hose routing, and how to execute precise propulsion techniques over Lakshadweep’s vibrant coral reefs.
Achieve effortless horizontal trim, lower back relief, and streamlined twin-tank redundancy in Lakshadweep.
• Theory: Harness fitting, hose routing, gas planning, and understanding how aluminum tanks change weight during a dive.
• Confined Water: Harness adjustment, weight distribution, safety drills, and establishing a stable horizontal trim.
• Morning Adjustments: Fine-tuning harness straps and weight placement based on Day 1.
• Ocean Dives: Moving to open water to focus on streamlined posture, efficient kicking techniques, and smooth tank handling over shallow reefs.
• Ocean Dives: Practicing core safety protocols—gas management, valve handling, and tank switches—followed by a full reef dive focused on effortless buoyancy and navigation.
• Daily Review: End-of-day review to analyze posture, technique, and overall progress.
• Course Wrap-Up: Media transfer and digital certification log-off.
